Drawing with Words: A Micrography Workshop with Robin Herman.

Learn about the fascinating origins of the centuries-old traditional Jewish scribal art known as “micrography” and create your own original piece of art with the guidance of a professional art teacher. Micrography is a means of creating images and geometric patterns using tiny letters and words.

See examples of work done by ancient scribal scholars as well as examples of more contemporary Jewish artists, then try your hand at this beautiful art form. No artistic experience necessary. We will be using pencils, pens, and paper you have around the house.

This activity is organized by the Adult Education Committee.
