Food4Thought: How The Magician Became The Passover Guest
What does it take to write a book – or adapt a tale for a different audience and time?

How does research, collaboration with an illustrator, and interaction with an editor and publisher affect the form and content of the story?

TRS librarian Susan Kusel will take us inside her own experience in creating, researching, writing, illustrating and publishing an adaptation of the Yiddish tale, The Magician, as an illustrated children’s book entitled The Passover Guest.

Illustrator Sean Rubin will join Susan in describing their collaboration. As always, we’ll leave time for Q and A.
